| Sam has been throwing temper tantrums a lot lately. The temper tantrums starting happening shortly after he turned one. If he didn't get something he wanted or if I picked him up and took him away from a situation I didn't want him to be in he would arch his back and scream his defiance. It was something I took in stride; all a part of growing. However, they are increasing in frequency. He is more frequently getting into situations that he shouldn't be in and I am more frequently taking him out of them, hence more tantrums. The mobility of walking has made this problem worse twenty-fold. I love that he can walk now--it makes a lot of things easier, but it does increase the temper tantrums. For instance, I am at the store and he doesn't want to ride in the cart the whole time. Fair enough, I let him down to walk. However, instead of following me where I need to go, he immediately walks in the other direction. I'm honestly trying to set boundaries and discipline, but I think there's only so much you can do with a kid his age. Sigh. In reality, it's not that bad; just kind of annoying.
One thing that is starting to worry me is that he doesn't seem to be eating a lot lately. I know that if he gets hungry he'll eat, but the pressure to eat is so much great for an under-weight kid, I don't think parents of normal sized kids can quite relate. I hope he gets over it soon.

| Sam is officially one of the smallest fifteen month olds out there. At his checkup yesterday he was off the chart for weight, 5th percent in height. His head is still going strong at 25-50th percentile :) It's a little worrying that he is so small, but the pediatrician keeps assuring us that all is well. Sam is doing all the stuff that a fifteen month old does like walk, say a few words (mama, dada, up), follow simple commands, pretend to do stuff we do like talk on the phone, and the like. He's a great kid; love him to death. He just looks a nine month old :) It's funny when we around other parents and their kids because you can feel the worry and comparison when they see him walking around like a pro; I always want to assure that he's much older than he looks.

| Our patio is almost done--the stone laying part is completed and we only have to install a fence to hide our trash cans and then it is completely done!!! Chad has been working on this project since he moved in four years ago--holy cow. It will be so awesome when it's done.
I'm excited for tomorrow because Chad has promised me a good ole fashioned barbeque dinner of grilled hot dogs and hamburgers--no steaks! I've always liked kid food the best. A co-worker of Chad's is coming over and it should be good times.
Sam can now twist the dial on his fridge dj toy. I'm so proud of him.
